First homes at £53m PRS scheme come to market

Work has been completed on the first phase of £53m Dock 5 development on the banks of the River Irwell in Salford.

The Dock 5 community will eventually be made up of 394 furnished and unfurnished apartments and townhouses for private rent, with residents now moving into the first 121 homes to be built in the first phase.

The scheme, which is made up of three blocks ranging from four storeys to eight on a 2.8-acre site on Ordsall Lane, is set to be fully completed in September next year.

It will also come with access to a state of the art gym, free to use communal work from homes spaces, along with parcel lockers, cleaning services, and even pet walking services.

The Salford suburb of Ordsall is booming having seen millions of pounds of investment in the past five years. The area is set to be transformed with more than 1,000 new homes planned to be built over the coming years along the waterfront area.
Rents at Dock 5 start at £700 per month.
